YOGA Class Descriptions:

Vinyasa Flow

A vinyasa flow class moves quickly, with the breath, through each pose. Focuses on strength, flexibility, and endurance. Each class will focus on a different area of the body and will also include a variety of inversions, arm balances or other poses if you want to challenge yourself.

Warm Flow

Heated vinyasa flow features a heated room creative sequencing that gets you moving, breathing and sweating through an invigorating flow that heals, detoxifies and electrifies.  Inspiring music helps create the complete power flow experience that will improve flexibility, as well as sculpt, hone and tone the muscles of your body and your mind.

Sunrise & Stretch

Stretch and flow your way into your morning for a relaxing practice to welcome the day.  Awakening up the body yet invigorating you may not even need caffeine.  This class will wake your body up slowly with some stretching. Once awake, we will flow through some more active poses, before winding down with a calming meditative Savasana.

Power/Core Yoga

Blend of cardio, strength training, flexibility, balance, and core conditioning in a total body workout that targets the hips, glutes, abs, and arms. The emphasis on proper alignment, balance, and core engagement means the classes move at a slower pace.

Hatha Yoga
Hatha Yoga is a good place for people to begin their yoga practice or to reconnect with their yoga roots. This class focuses on creating a strong foundation of breath work (5 breaths or more), conscious movement, compassion for where you are right now, and proper alignment.

Flow and Let Go

Flow & Let Go helps cultivate breath awareness, explore both challenging and relaxing yoga postures, and practice mindfulness to relieve stress in the short and long term. The first portion of Flow & Let Go focuses on centering meditation and breath work followed by a flowing vinyasa to lift the spirit, open, and warm the body. It culminates in a restful portion with restorative postures to allow the body to fully relax and mind to settle.

Gentle Yoga

Gentle yoga helps provide relaxation for the body and mind. Gentle movement, yogic breathing, and supported poses will combine to help increase flexibility, balance, and well-being while reducing tension and stress. While in flow you will learn basic poses, how to connect breath to movement, and how to embrace slow movements so you can take the time to nourish your cells down to the very bone.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga is all about letting go calming the nervous system and allows for deep tissue healing. In this style of yoga, no effort is required. Through passive stretching you’ll feel an easy opening of your body, a quieting of your mind, while receiving support of your spirit. Using props like bolsters, blocks and blankets, restorative yoga poses hold you rather than you are holding them.

Chair Yoga

Chair yoga is an incredible way for all ages especially older adults to get the amazing health benefits of yoga.  The class will focus on the breath, balance, posture awareness and corporal alignment in a comfortable seated position that helps you strengthen muscles and joints, increase your range of motion and flexibility, and relieve stress. This class include optional supported standing and floor variations.
